Bel Baron

 

Bel Baron was approved at the Trakehner stallion approval in 2013.

His sire is the famous Elite Stallion Münchhausen, who’s career took off by winning the reserve champion title at his stallion performance test (dressage index: 149.30 (champion), overall index: 128.87), winning the National Trakehner Riding Horse Championships in Cologne as a 4 year old, and winning his first 3rd level tests as a 5 year old. He qualified for the Bundeschampionships three times, and was the FEI Reserve World Champion Young Dressage horse in Verden as a 6 year old. He qualified for the Nürnberg Burgpokal finals, Germany's most prestigious event for young dressage horses before their first season at Grand Prix. In 2004, EH Münchhausen debuted at international Grand Prix shows and immediately won with scores in the 70s. In 2004, he and his rider, Fie Skasoe, were named to the Danish Olympic Team longlist. In 2005, the pair was part of the Danish Bronze Medal Team at the European Dressage Championships. EH Münchhausen is the sire of several approved stallions,


Bel Baron’s dam is the double premium awarded mare Belle Epoque. Belle Epoque was the champion mare of the 2007 mare show in Westfalen and she received an excellent score of 8,13 at her mare performance test. Representatives of this female line with Irish TB roots are the athletic stallion Balzflug, the versatile Bukephalos, the international top event horses Banteer and Bunburry TSF as well as multiple S dressage winner Bellefleur. Belle Epoque also produced 2 top auction horses: riding horse champion Bugatti and his full brother Barnaby.


Bel Baron started his riding carreer in germany with his rider Gisa Lehmann.
